Techno Marvel

Reaching out to many world wide and to the hinterland
Across plains mountains and streams Islands and Nations
Bounced off Satellites Run through cables nibbled at by fishes
Shat on by bovines - a zipping zapping technological marvel
Or an old technology of twisted copper wires
No better medium has been found
No better way to connect so many for so little
It is called a techno marvel
I say it has been there all the time
I am dependent upon it now - glued to a computer screen
Bits and bytes being converted to usable streams for the line
That connect me with the world from my exile
When you reach out and turn the switch
And NO lights come on NO monitor glows
My life is finished I cannot reach out anymore
