Poker Days

Straight faced days and cards dealt without a smile
The bets in the big ones
  Are huge, mind numbing amounts
Enough to make you think twice
Big enough to curl the hand for another look
And as the weak fold the strong bet higher
Until there is only 2 left
Smoke spirals from the ash tray
His eyes are narrowed, his face is set
His big hand opens the wallet
  Draws out many, many
     Matches!
