Nature
Seen a monkey sittin
in a tree
Monkey see you,
monkey see me
Seen a frog sittin
on a log
Eatin all those
bugs, the hog
Seen an owl out
in the night
Boy his eyes are
a scary sight
Seen a mouse come
out his hole
Watch a cat catch
the poor little soul
Seen a fish swimming
in the lake
What a shame if
the hook he takes
Seen a spider
weave to catch his prey
Poor little fly,
his meal that day
Seen a caterpillar
weave his cocoon
Sleeping in his
homemade womb
Seen a baby feeding
at his mother's breast
Watch him sleep
when he's had his feast
Seen baby birds
fed by their mum
Wriggling worms
to fill their tum
Seen the hedgehogs
snuffling around
I wonder what
is that they've found
Seen the possums
having a fight
No doubt the winner
will be all right
Seen the sun rise
in the east
Watched it sink
into the west
Seen the world
around us live
Nature in all
its wonder give
To those who see
and understand
Life and death,
one in each hand.
