Unshackled

Forgive me Father, for I am sinning...
Must I be cast into your eternal Hell -
  for daring to love?
  Daring to love another -
         freely
         totally
with the whole of my being?
  Oh Love!
  possessed by patriarchy
she is possessed, not my possessed - Oh no...
That one act alone forever stifles true love,
Yet that act, that role is cast by our masculinity,
roles that protect your masculinity -
           destroying our wholeness, togetherness.

Can society condemn me for my love?
  Oh YES!
even as I loose the shackles of patriarchal masculinity
          I am condemned.
But must I be condemned to eternal Hell
  for daring to love?

Then I go willingly to Hell,
for your Hell is my salvation, my Heaven -
as true love can but tear apart the foundations
  of your hypocrisy.
So Yes - I will go.

          Dare you condemn me now?
