who on the isle...

Magic Alys ?

THAT THORPE WOMAN
is Webmistress of the now internationally regarded* website 'scribble-on-the-net', (You must know it, you're on it reading this !)Moderates the Scribble Echo on FidoNet, wanders through the email 'wordlovers' list, and has firm opinions on all sorts of things, especially words, warts and worries.

*i.e. stared at with fascination.

Used to be that I was alys. For a change, I might be, alys, alys, or alice - especially when I was with folks who insisted that I learn to spell my own name correctly. In these days of multitasking I have became prose@ : editor@ : scribbler@ : and who knows what else besides ? It's all beyond me.
I wander around in my mused world, still the same old alys, alys and alice, but never knowing my name. Of course - I've always had difficulty with names, titles, para-phern-alia of any kind. Just shout 'alys' in the channel, and if some one answers we'll both have worked out who I am (grin)

THE^RAVEN
(or his twin brother CORVUS)
Flies in from time to time to keep a watchful eye on proceedings, snatch a morsel of crispy loaf, and give company and consolation to the wee owl and her scribbler lady. A bot a day invites confusion to play !
A CLOSE UP OF THE ISLE
As more folk become 'regulars on the isle' more pictures will become available: and more laughter and 'literary gossip' doubtless.
