Whalesong

A spirit of the open sea
Did hear the Whale and turned to me
"Why does The Keeper sound so sad?
Is earthen news that comes so bad?"
We glanced upon the sandy shore
 Where earthen humans stood galore
The weakened childs of Adam and Eve
Born of the newness nature weaved
We travelled with the mists of time
To where our past was caught in rhyme
 And forest totems stood around
Great stones from within the ground
For this is Master Elk's old home
 Far from human's city drone
We asked him what was meant to be
And this is what he said to me:

"Our future lies within the past
For this is where our lives were cast
So listen for the lessons found
from in mistakes upon this ground."

Now we will go towards the ends
To lead the children of Earth's old friends
Away to a better time and day
Where the young can laugh and play
There is no need to go to war
And become like those who went before
 Endeavouring to change the past
A better future is what we ask.
